Chunsa Na Un-gyu's 'Arirang' in the City Seongbuk-gu, the Second Park Chan-wook Found

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The 2nd Seongbuk Youth Invincible Film Festival, aimed at young people dreaming of becoming the next Park Chan-wook or Bong Joon-ho, is calling for short film submissions from June 13 to July 10.
The Youth Invincible Film Festival began in 2021 to support the creative activities of talented young filmmakers and to contribute to the revitalization of short film production. Starting this year, the 2nd edition has expanded its call for entries to clearly emphasize its role in discovering and supporting young filmmakers.

Any Korean youth aged 19 to 34 can submit their work. There are no restrictions on theme or format. The film must be a short film under 30 minutes, produced after January 2021.
Submissions are accepted via email. Selected works will go through preliminary screening and be officially screened in the competition section of the 2nd Seongbuk Youth Invincible Film Festival, which opens on November 10. Preliminary judges include film critics Kim So-hee, Lee Do-hoon, Jung Ji-hye, and programmer Shim Hee-jang.
During the festival, final judging will award prizes in nine categories including Grand Prize, Jury’s Special Award, and Excellence Award, with total prize money amounting to 14 million KRW.
At the 1st Seongbuk Youth Invincible Film Festival, 30 short films competed fiercely in the finals, and seven works received awards. The Grand Prize went to director Yang Jae-jun’s film "Nakgwa".
The 2nd Seongbuk Youth Invincible Film Festival is hosted by Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, organized by Seongbuk Cultural Foundation and Arirang Cine Center, and supported by the Korean Film Council, Woori Bank, and MG Community Credit Cooperative Central Association.
