View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim Tae-woo, the mayor-elect of Gangseo District Office in Seoul, held an inauguration ceremony on the morning of the 9th at the office of the 8th Civilian Term Gangseo District Mayor Transition Committee and officially began the handover process.
On this day, Mayor-elect Kim appointed former National Assembly member Kim Kyung-jin as the chairman of the transition committee. The committee was composed of 15 members, including the chairman, professors, administrative experts, and citizens. An advisory group was also formed for policy consultation.
The transition committee will support a smooth and stable handover of district administration for Mayor-elect Kim Tae-woo ahead of the launch of the 8th Civilian Term on July 1.
They will listen to various opinions from residents, set new district administration goals, and prepare the mayor-elect’s campaign promises and implementation plans, drawing the overall blueprint for the 8th Civilian Term district administration.
At the appointment ceremony, Mayor-elect Kim Tae-woo said, “Based on the public sentiment expressed in this election, I will make the city vibrant,” and urged, “I ask the transition committee members to carefully consider the wishes of the residents, who are both watchdogs and strong driving forces of the district administration, and prepare a future-oriented district administration blueprint.”
