CJ OnStyle Holds Ceremony to Announce New ESG Management Policy
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] CJ OnStyle held a proclamation ceremony for its new ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management policy, ‘YESGO.’ YESGO signifies the commitment of society (‘Y’OU) and OnStyle (‘O’NSTYLE) to jointly practice ESG management. Through this ceremony, CJ OnStyle announced detailed policies aimed at co-growing with its partners and pledged active support to strengthen the ESG management self-sustainability of its partners.
According to CJ OnStyle on the 9th, the company held the ‘Partners Club 2022’ event the previous day to reveal specific details. The event was attended by Yoon Sanghyun, CEO of CJ OnStyle; Lee Woojin, Head of Management Support Office overseeing CJ OnStyle’s ESG strategy; and executives from about 20 outstanding CJ OnStyle partner companies.
Starting from the proclamation ceremony, CJ OnStyle plans to actively engage in activities to advance ESG management within the industrial ecosystem. The core of this plan includes establishing systems to support partners’ independent ESG management and expanding support for mutual growth between CJ OnStyle and its partners. Additionally, CJ OnStyle aims to promote social value consumption among customers and encourage the sale of eco-friendly products by partners, thereby expanding the ESG consumption ecosystem.
YESGO includes a large-scale support project for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) worth approximately 10 billion KRW. A particularly notable aspect is the establishment of support systems enabling SME partners to independently practice ESG management. Through programs such as the ▲ESG Integrated Support Project ▲Eco-friendly Packaging Support ▲ESG Certification Support Project, which provide comprehensive education and consulting on ESG management to SMEs, CJ OnStyle plans to improve awareness and strengthen capabilities regarding ESG management among SMEs.
CJ OnStyle also plans to reinforce the virtuous cycle of ESG management through customer purchasing activities. By activating an upcycling campaign that allows customers to donate while purchasing eco-friendly products, the company intends to encourage ‘value consumption.’
