Biden to Visit Europe Late This Month for G7 and NATO Summits
[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Joselgina] U.S. President Joe Biden will visit Germany and Spain to attend the Group of Seven (G7) and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summits.
The White House announced in a statement on the 8th (local time) that President Biden will attend the G7 summit held at Schloss Elmau in southern Germany on the 25th.
President Biden and other G7 leaders are expected to discuss global issues such as responses to Russia's invasion of Ukraine at this meeting. They will also exchange views on economic and democratic resilience, food and energy crises, climate change response, and health.
Following this, President Biden will also attend the NATO summit held in Madrid, Spain, on the 28th.
The White House stated, "At this meeting, the leaders will endorse a new strategic concept for NATO's transformation in preparation for the coming decade," adding, "This means strengthening the democratic partnership of alliances in Europe and Asia."
