Police Investigate Hyundai Mobis Employee Over 'Technology Leakage Suspicion'
Leak Allegations Including 'Head-Up Display' Technology
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] The police have launched an investigation into a Hyundai Mobis employee suspected of industrial technology leakage.
The Security Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 8th that it is investigating Hyundai Mobis employee A on charges of violating the Act on the Prevention of Unfair Competition and Protection of Trade Secrets.
Employee A is suspected of leaking internal documents containing information such as the 'Head-Up Display' technology that shows driving information on the front of vehicles, in violation of security regulations.
In April, Hyundai Mobis filed a complaint against employee A with the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul, and the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency took over the case and began a direct investigation.
