Recruitment of Expert Instructors and Educational Institutions for AI Drug Development
Development of 48 AI New Drug Development Courses, Plans to Conduct Collaborative Education with 6 Institutions
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association's Artificial Intelligence New Drug Development Support Center (AI Center) announced on the 8th that it is developing AI new drug development educational content and recruiting professional instructors to teach it, as well as field-oriented cooperative education and research institutions.
The AI Center is recruiting professional instructors to conduct a total of 48 courses, including 39 new courses in fields such as artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, chemoinformatics, and new drug development. University professors, researchers from research institutions, pharmaceutical bio companies, and AI company researchers with expertise in related fields can all serve as instructors.
Through the recruitment of instructors, the AI Center plans to develop AI new drug development courses that cover both theory and practice, and based on this, create customized education tracks tailored to the background knowledge and target job roles of learners to present to trainees.
To support field-oriented education that meets industry demands alongside theoretical and practical education, the AI Center is also recruiting six or more cooperative education or cooperative research institutions targeting universities, research institutes, AI companies, and pharmaceutical companies.
In cooperative education, the institutions will be supported to provide trainees with education on paper implementation or model development through internships or seasonal schools. Through cooperative research, collaboration in AI new drug development between companies will be supported. This method provides mutual educational opportunities between pharmaceutical companies and AI companies.
