The movie The Killer is a film adaptation of the popular original novel The Child Who Can Die by writer Bang Jin-ho. It will be released simultaneously in Korea and North America. It received favorable reviews at the 24th Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy. It has been pre-sold to a total of 48 countries, including European and Asian nations.
An Ascendio official said, "This has become an opportunity to further enhance Ascendio's production capabilities," adding, "Following the Korean film's award at the Cannes Film Festival, we plan to produce additional meaningful works during a time when the world is focusing on K-content."
