Seoul City Operates 'Ma-eumjapgo Project' to Promote Work-Life Balance Culture
Seoul City Work-Life Balance Support Center to Launch 'Ma-eumjapgo (Job Go) Project' from June to October
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 8th that it will carry out the psychological support project "Maeumjapgo (Job Go)" to help Seoul citizens achieve work-life balance and daily recovery from June to October.
The "Maeumjapgo Project" is a project that diagnoses concerns that employees may experience, such as burnout, workplace relationship conflicts, and job insecurity, and allows free use of various online and offline programs including mind recovery content, counseling, and workshops tailored to their situation.
In particular, it provides "mind recovery" and "growth support" programs targeting young employees, middle managers, prospective caregivers, employees returning from parental leave, and childcare teachers. In the fourth week of August, to commemorate Gender Equality Week, a "Our Neighborhood Chamber Music" concert in collaboration with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra will also be presented. Citizens who wish to participate in the "Maeumjapgo Project" can visit the website, take the "mind diagnosis," and then participate in the "mind recovery and growth support programs."
First, the mind diagnosis can assess the levels of "job stress" and "work-life balance." The "mind diagnosis" consists of basic and in-depth survey questions designed to comprehensively understand the participant's psychological state, and is divided into seven areas based on the Korean Occupational Stress Scale (KOSS): job demands, job autonomy, relationship conflicts, job insecurity, organizational system, inadequate compensation, and workplace culture.
Based on the results of the "mind diagnosis," participants can utilize online mind care content or participate in mind recovery and growth support programs. If it is difficult to open up to friends or family, or if one wants to try counseling but lacks the courage, they can apply for the "Online Mind Counseling Center" and receive one-on-one customized counseling. Confidential counseling responses from experts can be confirmed within 7 days, and if additional support is needed, customized counseling assistance is also available.
