View original image[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Kim Hyewon] Bang Gi-seon, the 1st Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, will depart on the 8th to attend the 2022 OECD Ministerial Council Meeting held in Paris, France, from the 9th to 10th.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the 7th, this OECD Ministerial Council Meeting will be held under the theme "The Future We Want: Better Policies for the Next Generation and Sustainable Transitions." The 38 member countries, chaired by Italy, will discuss the global economy and other impacts due to the Ukraine crisis, youth policies for a better future, infectious disease response, and green transition.
Vice Minister Bang will attend Session 1 (Global Economic and Other Impacts of the Russian Invasion) and Session 4 (A Better Future for Youth), presenting Korea's position on the expanding global economic risks caused by the Russian invasion and introducing the country's policy efforts for the younger generation.
Vice Minister Bang is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with the OECD Deputy Secretary-General, Luxembourg's Minister of Finance, Peru's Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, and others to exchange views on mutual cooperation measures and the agenda of the Ministerial Council Meeting.

Afterwards, Vice Minister Bang will move to London, UK, to meet with J?rgen Rigterink, Senior Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), on the afternoon of the 10th. This will be the first high-level meeting with the EBRD since the new government took office. Both sides plan to discuss various agendas to strengthen Korea-EBRD cooperation, including the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war on the global economy, international community support measures for Ukraine, and the expansion of Korean personnel and corporate entry.
