Namwon City Operates 'Children's Safety Media Classroom'
[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City in Jeonbuk announced on the 3rd that it will operate the 2022 ‘Children’s Safety Media Classroom’ to create a safe and happy Namwon for children.
For the education, the city received applications from 75 kindergartens and daycare centers in the area last March, and among them, 1,164 people from 43 locations, including the attached kindergarten of Ibaek Elementary School, applied.
The Children’s Safety Media Classroom is hosted by Namwon City and organized by the Citizens’ Coalition for Safety Practice.
The education schedule is from the 7th to October 19th, and the content is centered on cases frequently occurring to children.
The contents include prevention of infectious diseases due to COVID-19, daily safety, playground safety, elevators, school zone traffic accidents, earthquake and fire evacuation, etc.
Ensuring the safety of adults and children is an essential element of a happy family, and habitual safety practice is necessary.
A city official said, “Through this education, by making safety feel tangible, it is expected that children’s ability to respond to situations will improve and they will develop lifelong safety habits.”
