Woori Bank Launches 'Preferred Account' Offering 5 Benefits for National Pension Recipients
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Woori Bank announced on the 3rd that it will launch the ‘Woori National Pension Preferential Account’.
This product offers a total of five benefits regardless of the amount received from the National Pension. Balances under one million won receive an interest rate of up to 1.6% per annum, and fees are waived unlimitedly, including withdrawals from other banks' ATMs and automatic transfers. When exchanging major currencies at branches, an 80% preferential benefit is provided, and when paying for a domestic same-day travel package for one person, a free service benefit is also given for one accompanying travel package companion.
Additionally, free insurance services against telecommunication financial fraud are provided for up to two years. It covers damages from a wide range of cyber financial crimes including voice phishing, smishing, pharming, and hacking.
