Broadcasting Commission Appoints Members of the 7th Media Diversity Committee

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] The Korea Communications Commission announced on the 30th through a written meeting that it has appointed members of the 7th Media Diversity Committee.
The Media Diversity Committee consists of nine experts in the fields of media, statistics, management and economics, and law. The term of office is two years, from June 11, 2022, to June 10, 2024.
The chairperson is Kim Hyojae, a standing commissioner of the Korea Communications Commission. The members are ▲ Bae Jina, Professor of Film Studies at Kongju National University ▲ Song Juwon, Professor of Statistics at Korea University ▲ Lee Manje, Professor of Public Administration and Journalism at Wonkwang University ▲ Jeon Beomsu, Professor of Information Society and Media Studies at Hanyang University ▲ Kim Sunghwan, Professor of Economics at Ajou University ▲ Ahn Jungmin, Professor of Global Studies at Hallym University ▲ Jung Yongchan, Head of the Data Analysis and Prediction Center at the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) ▲ and Jung Yoonkyung, Professor of Media Communication at Soonchunhyang University.

The Media Diversity Committee is a statutory committee established under Article 35-4 of the Broadcasting Act, responsible for duties such as calculating the audience share of broadcasting operators and developing influence indices that aggregate across media.
