Continuous Recruitment of Youth Connection Center Participants for Isolated Youth from May to November... 200,000 KRW Incentive Provided Upon Program Completion
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu is recruiting participants for the ‘2022 Seoul Youth Challenge Support Project: Youth Connection Center,’ which provides customized support for young people who find it difficult to enter society.
The ‘Youth Connection Center’ offers various experiences to young people who face social, economic, and psychological difficulties, helping them become the masters of their own lives and step out into the world. There are seven regional centers across Seoul. Residents of Gwangjin-gu can use the Youth Connection Northeast Center located at Myeonmok Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
The target participants are young people aged 18 to 34 who meet one of the following criteria: ▲have no history of employment or participation in education or vocational training for more than six months ▲are youth who have entered or left youth shelters and are in isolated situations. However, university (graduate) students, including those on leave of absence, and those scheduled for mandatory military service within six months are excluded.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis from May to November. Interested individuals can apply via phone at the Youth Connection Center or through the Worknet website. After applying, an initial consultation will be conducted by phone, followed by the final selection of participants.
The Youth Connection Center program consists of ▲intensive counseling ▲case management ▲relationship skills ▲career exploration ▲employment competency enhancement.
Youth who complete the program will receive a 200,000 KRW incentive. To be recognized as having completed the program, participants must attend at least 32 hours (80%) out of the 40-hour program.
