According to Park's campaign on the 26th, over 100 people including representatives of sports organizations, sports enthusiasts, and senior and executive members of the sports council visited the campaign office on the 25th and declared their support, stating, "We believe in Park's ability and sincerity as he pledges to revive the stagnant Mokpo sports scene and strives for the development of Mokpo sports."
A total of 36 organizations, including 24 groups with representatives from various sports disciplines, promised to unite their efforts for the election of Mayor Park Hongryul.
Additionally, professors from sports departments in the southwestern Jeonnam region, four related sports organizations, and senior and executive members of the sports council who have supported Mokpo sports attended in large numbers to lend their support.
Candidate Park Hongryul pledged, "I will realize the plan to expand sports infrastructure and drive economic revitalization through sports marketing such as training camps," adding, "I will expand the sports class voucher program to create a healthy city without sports exclusion for low-income groups, youth, adolescents, and people with disabilities."
