Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters Conducts Fire Safety Inspection of Large Factory Facilities

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeollabuk-do Fire Headquarters (Chief Choi Min-cheol) announced on the 26th that it conducted a fire safety inspection at Daesang Co., Ltd. Sunchang Factory on the 25th.

This inspection, carried out as part of the plan to strengthen fire safety in large factory facilities and logistics warehouses during vulnerable periods, aimed to raise the safety management awareness of managers in facilities that could potentially lead to large-scale fires causing significant casualties.

The main inspection items included ▲checking fire risk factors such as structural vulnerabilities and hazardous materials ▲operational status of firefighting facilities, evacuation and fire prevention facilities ▲fire safety manager duties and organization of the voluntary firefighting team.

In particular, guidance and inspection were conducted on the establishment of a voluntary firefighting team and initial response system to enable immediate response in case of fire, as well as the formulation of evacuation plans to secure safe evacuation routes for executives and employees.

Chief Choi Min-cheol emphasized, “In industrial facility fires, rapid combustion due to many combustible materials can cause extensive damage,” adding, “Managers’ special attention to safety management can protect the lives of workers within the workplace.”

Meanwhile, Daesang Co., Ltd. Sunchang Factory, where this on-site inspection was conducted, is a long-established company operating for over 30 years since its establishment as Sunchang Food Co., Ltd. in June 1989, producing various types of jang such as gochujang and doenjang, and is a native company of Jeollabuk-do.
