Gyeongbuk Office of Education Strengthens Facility Safety Management! ... Safety Inspection of Stage Equipment in Multipurpose Auditoriums at Schools and Institutions Conducted
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Gyeongbuk Office of Education will conduct a pilot safety inspection of ‘multipurpose auditorium stage machinery devices that have been in use for over 10 years’ at schools and institutions of all levels.
Although the stage machinery devices installed in multipurpose auditoriums (gymnasiums) of 373 public elementary, middle, and high schools in the province, as well as institutions such as education support offices, are not subject to mandatory safety inspections under the law, they may be vulnerable to safety issues due to aging. Therefore, a pilot safety inspection will be conducted to ensure student safety and prevent safety accidents.
The Office of Education will select two high schools and two institutions with high usage frequency among 245 schools using stage machinery devices that have been in use for over 10 years to conduct safety inspections. If any problems are found during the inspection, the scope of safety inspections will be expanded to prevent safety accidents within schools in advance.
