40s Woman Arrested for Drunk Driving and Crashing into Street Tree

The Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station announced on the 26th that they have detained and are investigating Ms. A on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
Ms. A is accused of hitting a roadside tree while driving under the influence at around 7:06 a.m. on a road in Gwangsan-gu that day.
Police breathalyzer tests confirmed that Ms. A's blood alcohol level was at the license cancellation threshold at the time of the accident.
As a result of the accident, Ms. A's vehicle overturned, but she was not seriously injured, and there were no additional victims reported.
