Chosun University of Science and Technology Selected for 'University Sports Club Evaluation and Support Project'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun Institute of Science and Technology (Acting President Yoon Doosu) announced on the 25th that it has been finally selected for the ‘2022 University Sports Team Evaluation and Support Project’ organized by the Korea University Sports Federation (KUSF).
As a result, three sports teams at Chosun Institute of Science and Technology?wrestling, baseball, and soccer?will receive project funding of 52 million KRW.
Chosun Institute of Science and Technology plans to use the funding from this university sports team evaluation and support project to enhance the competitiveness of its university sports teams by covering training expenses, training equipment costs, and competition participation fees.
The university sports team evaluation and support project is organized by the Korea University Sports Federation and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation. It has been conducted since 2015 as a comprehensive evaluation of university sports teams focusing on elite sports.
The recently announced evaluation and support project determined the support scope for each university using university sports team evaluation indicators composed of 5 evaluation areas, 22 evaluation criteria, and 61 detailed evaluation items.
Subsequently, through a four-stage evaluation including quantitative, qualitative, on-site inspection, and comprehensive evaluation of the sports team operation status of the applying universities, 118 universities were finally selected.
