Sea and Sky Captured... Jukseong Dream Set in Gijang-gun Selected as 'Safe Tourism Destination of Korea'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Jukseong Dream Set in Gijang-gun, Busan, has been selected as one of the ‘Safe Tourism Destinations in Korea this Year’ by the Korea Tourism Organization.
The selected safe tourism destinations are introduced on the travel information site ‘Korea Travel Easy’.
Jukseong Dream Set was originally built in 2009 as a drama set for the drama ‘Dream’ and was remodeled in 2016 into a space where pristine natural environment and culture and arts coexist.
The refreshing sea and exotic buildings harmonize to create a picturesque landscape, making it a must-visit course for visitors to Gijang.
The photo zone, where you can capture the sea and sky, is gaining attention as one of the most beautiful photo spots in Busan, with visitors lining up to take pictures.
The interior space operates as various cultural and art galleries, enhancing the creative motivation of local artists and providing a place for meeting and communication through culture and arts for visitors and residents.
Since last year, Gijang-gun and Dongseo University have collaborated to operate the ‘Evergreen Film University’ at Jukseong Dream Set for local seniors, aiming to nurture film talents.
A county official said, “When traveling to Gijang, including the Osiria Tourism Complex, we recommend visiting Jukseong Dream Set to enjoy the pristine coastal scenery unique to Gijang-gun and take a moment of relaxation away from daily life.”
Gijang-gun was selected for Busan City’s ‘2022 Tourism Destination Readiness Improvement Project’ and secured 110 million won in city funds.

The county is promoting the establishment of unique tourism content exclusive to Gijang-gun, such as building design water features using TTP (tetrapods) in the outdoor space of Jukseong Dream Set and installing photo zones with stories, to help Jukseong Dream Set become a tourist attraction in Busan.
