Taste Suragan Cuisine at Gyeongbokgung Sojubang
Next Month from the 8th to 20th: 'Suragan Tasting Sympathy'
The Cultural Heritage Administration and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation announced on the 24th that from the 8th to the 20th of next month, they will showcase Joseon royal kitchen dishes at the Sojubang in Gyeongbokgung Palace. The event is called 'Suragan Tasting Experience.' Visitors can enjoy various alleyway snacks accompanied by lively traditional Korean music. The offerings include pogye (grilled chicken), watermelon, lotus root bugak (fried lotus root chips), yakshik (sweet rice dessert), doraji jeonggwa (balloon flower root candy), and mint cinnamon. Attendees can also hear stories about Sojubang cuisine from the Suragan’s top officials such as Doseolli, Daeryeongsuksu, and Sanggung. The event requires advance reservations and tickets will be available from the 25th on Interpark Ticket. The price is 25,000 KRW, and up to four tickets can be purchased per reservation.
