The Saemaeul Environment Revival, aimed at protecting the rural environment by focusing on collecting waste pesticide bottles, fertilizer bags, scrap metal, and waste paper, which are the main causes of soil pollution, was led by Saemaeul leaders with residents participating.
Through this Saemaeul Environment Revival project, a total of 91 tons were collected, including 2 tons of pesticide bags, 17 tons of pesticide bottles, 45 tons of scrap metal, 9 tons of waste paper, and 18 tons of fertilizer bags, greatly contributing to resource circulation and prevention of environmental pollution.
Additionally, nets and sacks necessary for the project were provided to establish a year-round collection system for recyclables, and the sales proceeds are planned to be used for public projects such as village self-fundraising and sharing love with neighbors.
