IAEA Secretary-General: "North Korean Nuclear Test Not Far Off"
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), who is visiting Japan, expressed on the 20th his view that North Korea's nuclear test is imminent.
He emphasized that "according to the information we have," much more nuclear material, more enrichment facilities, and new sites are "operating for an imminent nuclear test."
However, Director General Grossi did not provide specific details about the sources of the information or when the nuclear test is expected to take place.

He assessed that North Korea had already developed nuclear weapons by 2009 and advanced its nuclear program in every possible direction, calling it an "extremely concerning issue."
