[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] Seven teenagers in their teens who lured men in their 20s to motels under the pretense of prostitution, assaulted them, and tried to extort money have been arrested by the police.
The Guro Police Station in Seoul announced on the 18th that they have booked three teenage males and four teenage females on charges of special robbery, special confinement, and violation of the Road Traffic Act. Among them, two males were sent to prosecution under detention.
According to the police, on the early morning of the 8th, they deceived two male victims in their 20s by promising to arrange prostitution and lured them to a motel in Yeongdeungpo-gu.
The victims, deceived by them, were confined and assaulted after entering the motel room, according to the investigation.
They demanded 45 million won from the victims, saying, "You will be punished if you have sexual relations with minors," and took the victims by car to a sauna in Guro-gu, where they assaulted them again and stole 500,000 won in cash from the car.
The case was uncovered during the victims' process of asking their parents for money.
