Hwasun-gun 'Wild Plant Delivery Fee Support Project' Additional Recruitment

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun announced on the 18th that it will additionally recruit participants for the courier fee support project to revitalize direct transactions between producers and consumers of regionally specialized forest products until the 10th of next month.

The county is investing 10 million won of county funds this year as well as last year to partially support courier fees for forest products.

Through this, it aims to promote direct transactions of forest products between urban and rural areas and establish a stable income base for farming households.

The support targets are foresters, forestry successors, independent foresters, new knowledge farmers (in the forestry field), or producer groups under the "Framework Act on Agriculture, Rural Community and Food Industry" who cultivate forest products supported by the county.

The support amount is 1,500 won per courier shipment, and after verifying supporting documents such as courier fee receipts or courier dispatch transaction confirmations from the selected farming households, the project funds are paid quarterly.

The supported items are those forest product income sources specified in Article 7, Paragraph 1 of the Enforcement Rules of the Act on the Promotion of Forestry and Mountain Villages.

Simple processed items using forest products such as juice and sap are supported, but finished products like pickled vegetables and vinegar are excluded from support.

Applications for the support project can be submitted at the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers.

A county official said, "We hope that more foresters receive courier fee support for regionally specialized forest products, thereby revitalizing direct transactions and helping increase farm household income."
