KT Skylife "Check 'Sseokun Tomato' When Watching VOD"
Partnership with US Movie Review Site Rotten Tomatoes
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] KT Skylife announced on the 18th that it has signed a partnership agreement with Rotten Tomatoes, a U.S. movie review website.
KT Skylife will incorporate Rotten Tomatoes' critic scores and audience scores into its video-on-demand (VOD) content and will launch a new VOD menu called 'Rotten Tomatoes Fresh,' which features works that have received the highest ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.
Additionally, until the 22nd, films with a critic approval rating of 75% or higher on Rotten Tomatoes will be consecutively scheduled on the action movie channel Action Choice (channel 215).
On Rotten Tomatoes, the more positive reviews from critics, the more red tomatoes symbolizing freshness appear, while fewer positive reviews display a green splattered tomato mark symbolizing rotten tomatoes. Works with 75% or higher positive critic reviews receive a 'Freshness Guarantee' mark. To gauge audience reactions, look at the popcorn icon: a high score shows a red bucket filled with popcorn, while a low score shows a green bucket tipped over with popcorn spilled.
