'Gwanak-gu Drunken Weapon Murder' 20s Arrested for "Flight Risk"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 20s has been arrested on charges of killing an acquaintance by wielding a weapon while drinking together at home.
On the 17th, Judge Kim Jeong-min, in charge of warrants at the Seoul Central District Court, issued an arrest warrant for the man in his 20s, identified as A, on suspicion of murder, citing "a risk of flight."
After completing the pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant hearing) at 3:50 p.m. that day and leaving the court, A told reporters, "I did not kill him and I am innocent," adding, "I was very drunk and do not clearly remember the situation at the time."
A is accused of wielding a weapon while intoxicated at his home in Daehak-dong, Gwanak-gu, around 9 p.m. on the 14th, resulting in the death of a man in his 20s who was with him.
