Mokpo City Implements Support Program for Replacing Residential Low-NOx Boilers
Applications Open from the 23rd... 600,000 KRW Support for Low-Income Groups, 100,000 KRW for General Applicants
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Seunghyun] Mokpo City, Jeollanam-do, will resume the 2022 household low-NOx boiler distribution project to improve air quality and realize a carbon-neutral city.
According to the city on the 17th, following the support of 763 units in the '1st 2022 Household Low-NOx Boiler Distribution Project' from February 21 to March 11, the second phase will accept applications from the 23rd until the budget is exhausted, planning to additionally support 737 low-NOx boilers (6 units for low-income households, 731 units for general households).
The support amount per low-NOx boiler is 600,000 KRW for low-income households (recipients of basic livelihood security, near-poverty class) and 100,000 KRW for general households.
A 'household low-NOx boiler' refers to a product certified with the environmental label by the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute.
The eligible applicants are owners of buildings within the Mokpo City urban gas supply area (or tenants with the owner's consent) who have installed or plan to install a household low-NOx boiler after January 1, 2022.
Applications must be submitted in person to the Mokpo City Environmental Protection Division within the application period, with the purchaser and supplier preparing required documents such as the purchase contract.
