28,734 New COVID-19 Cases Nationwide by 9 PM... 2,745 Fewer Than Yesterday
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] As of 9 PM on the 13th, more than 28,000 new COVID-19 cases were reported nationwide.
According to Seoul Metropolitan Government and other local governments, from midnight to 9 PM on this day, a total of 28,734 people across 17 cities and provinces nationwide were confirmed positive for COVID-19. This figure is 2,745 fewer than the 31,479 cases reported during the same time frame the previous day. Compared to a week ago on the 6th, when 38,333 cases were reported during the same time frame, it is 9,599 fewer.
The number of confirmed cases recorded in the 20,000 range as of 9 PM is the first in five days.
As of 9 PM on this day, new confirmed cases were 12,908 (44.9%) in the metropolitan area and 15,826 (55.1%) in non-metropolitan areas.
