The 781 candidates who passed the written exam will take tests in six events: grip strength, back strength, sit and reach, sit-ups, standing long jump, and shuttle run.
Each event is scored out of 10 points, and candidates must score at least 30 points, which is 50% of the total 60 points, to pass.
To ensure a fair physical fitness test, the headquarters prohibits the use of drugs that may affect test results and will conduct doping tests on 5% of the candidates selected randomly.
Candidates who have been notified of a COVID-19 positive diagnosis by health authorities and are undergoing treatment or quarantine may take the physical fitness test separately on the last day of the test period.
After the physical fitness test, personality and aptitude tests, document screening, and interviews will be conducted, and the final successful candidates are scheduled to be announced on July 29.
For inquiries related to the recruitment exam, candidates can contact the recruitment officer at the Fire Administration Division of the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters for guidance.
