With Social Distancing Lifted... CJ Olive Young Sees Surge in Color Cosmetics Sales

According to CJ Olive Young on the 11th, sales of color cosmetics from the 18th of last month to the 10th of this month increased by 56% compared to the previous year. Lip tints grew by 94%, while shading and blushers recorded high growth rates of 72% and 66%, respectively.
With increased outdoor activities, offline stores are also gaining momentum. During the same period, offline sales rose by 28%, and the number of customers increased by 20%. By commercial district, sales growth was notable in university areas (37%) and office districts (29%). This is analyzed to be due to the activation of face-to-face classes and office workers starting to return to their workplaces, leading to more store visits.
