Dahyang Art Valley Brightens Up as Social Distancing Measures Lifted
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 10th that the Boseong Tea Culture Complex ‘Dahyang Art Valley,’ which opened in December last year, is gaining momentum in its operations following the full lifting of social distancing measures.
At ‘Dahyang Art Valley’ (hereafter Art Valley), visitors can experience tea culture, purchase Boseong specialty products, and taste representative local foods.
In the Art Valley sales and exhibition building (Building 1/3 floors), ▲the Nokdon sales point offers ‘Nokdon Samhap,’ a main product developed using green tea-fed pork, Hoecheon green onions grown by the sea breeze, and potatoes.
▲At the Nokdon Samhap restaurant, customers can grill the purchased ‘Nokdon Samhap’ themselves and enjoy various menus such as kimchi stew, cheonggukjang, and stir-fried pork.
▲The Green Tea Outlet sells Boseong tea, tea utensils, and various tea-related products, with free tastings available. It is also operated as a gallery where visitors can view Boseong Dumbeongi pottery, tea utensils, and artworks.
In the cultural experience building (five businesses), ▲Nokdon Galbi Restaurant sells ribs, cold noodles, and galbitang (beef rib soup). ▲The Green Tea Cafe offers green tea gelato made with Boseong tea.
Various experiences are also prepared. ▲At the foot bath cafe, visitors can relieve fatigue and stress with green tea bath salts and Boseong tea while enjoying healing.
▲At the Green Tea Kimchi Outlet, visitors can experience making kimchi and purchase kimchi made with Hoecheon green onions, a Boseong specialty.
▲Cocoland offers snacks such as hotteok and chicken skewers, and experiences including dalgona candy making, fish catching, and mug painting, providing food and activities spanning from the 1960s to the present.
Additionally, Art Valley is a tourist attraction where the beautiful scenery of Daehan Tea Garden, Korean Tea Museum, Korean Tea Culture Park, Botjae, and other unique charms of Boseong come together, making it a popular spot for the MZ generation to take 인증샷 (certification photos) and create precious memories.
A county official said, “With the lifting of distancing measures, we hope that the recovery of daily life through private gatherings, events, education, and sports will stimulate consumption and increase sales,” adding, “We will continue to promote various customized events and make every effort to revive the economy.”

Meanwhile, Dahyang Art Valley was built on a 5,492㎡ site at 783 Nokcha-ro, Boseong-eup, with a construction area of 1,548.08㎡ and a project cost of 5.3 billion KRW. In November last year, a usage and profit permit contract was signed with Juno Coffee Co., Ltd., which is currently operating the facility.
