SPC Samlip Reports Q1 Operating Profit of 13.6 Billion KRW, Up 30.1% YoY
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] SPC Samlip announced on the 10th that its consolidated operating profit for the first quarter of this year was tentatively estimated at 13.6 billion KRW, a 30.1% increase compared to the same period last year.
During the same period, sales increased by 11.1% to 724.8 billion KRW. This is the first time that first-quarter sales have exceeded 700 billion KRW. Net profit rose 25.3% to 7.8 billion KRW.
An SPC Samlip official explained, "Not only bakery but also B2B transactions and food and distribution performance at rest areas improved significantly due to expectations of the transition to an endemic system, resulting in substantial growth in sales and profits."

Additionally, they added, "Pok?mon Bread, a new product launched on February 24, contributed less than 5% to total bakery sales in the first quarter, which is a negligible level."
