The Craftsmanship of Yeongyang, Come to Manmul Market... Yeongyang-gun, Urban Regeneration New Deal Project Flea Market 'Byeolbyeol Madang'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwi-yeol] The Flea Market Promotion Committee of Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk, has prepared the flea market ‘Byeolbyeol Madang’ as part of the Urban Regeneration New Deal project. Along with the Yeongyang Wild Vegetable Festival, it will be held for two days from the 13th to the 14th in the brewery yard, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Yeongyang-gun conducted the Urban Regeneration New Deal resident proposal contest three times in 2021, discovering several handicraft teams. The discovered handicraft teams gathered under the name of the Yeongyang-gun Flea Market Promotion Committee and participated in making flea market stalls. This flea market event was planned to ensure continuous operation of the market and to lead to the sale of works through revitalization of the local community and economy.
This event is jointly organized by the Yeongyang-gun Flea Market Promotion Committee and the Pohang Market Table Cooperative. Anyone, including county residents and visitors to the Wild Vegetable Festival, can participate.
Handicraft items, woodcrafts, flower teas, woven crafts, flowers, blended teas, and interior accessories will be sold, and various tasting events, experience programs, and events for children will be held to provide visitors with diverse attractions.
