Looking for Companies Excelling in Safety and Health Activities
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Calling all companies excelling in safety and health activities.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency are hosting the "Workplace Safety and Health Activity Video Content Contest" to find and award outstanding safety and health activity cases in industrial sites.
The contest is held to discover excellent cases of safety and health activities in companies and to spread them across all workplaces.
To participate, each workplace should film and submit videos of activities that help establish safety and health management systems or prevent industrial accidents, such as "10-minute safety checks before work," "management leadership," "hazard identification," and "hazard improvement."
Videos must be original works directly filmed by participants and be within 5 minutes in length. Formats such as UCC or V-log can be freely chosen.
Anyone working in industrial sites, regardless of industry, can participate. Applications can be submitted directly through the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency website notice board or by downloading the application form and sending it via email by June 3.
Out of the submissions, a total of 13 works will be selected through expert evaluation.
The grand prize includes a cash award of 2 million KRW and the Minister of Employment and Labor Award; the excellence prize includes 1 million KRW and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency President Award; and the encouragement prize includes 300,000 KRW. Additionally, 100 participants will be randomly selected to receive beverage coupons.
The final results will be announced on June 27 on the agency’s website, and the award ceremony will be held during the Occupational Safety and Health Week (July 4?8) at KINTEX in Ilsan.

Submitted works will be made publicly available on the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency websites and YouTube to serve as exemplary cases for establishing safety and health management systems in many workplaces in the future.
