Geoje City Secures 1.1 Billion KRW in Special Grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Geoje City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 6th that it secured 1.1 billion KRW in special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for the first half of the year.
Special grants are funds provided by the government to local governments to compensate for special financial demands arising from regional issues or disasters.
The special grants secured this time will be used for 600 million KRW to develop tourism infrastructure at Sopsori Park, 200 million KRW for the installation of pedestrian ground traffic lights, and 300 million KRW for urgent repair and reinforcement of Gucheon Bridge on City/Province Line 5.
