CU to Support Flower Farmers in May for Family Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] BGF Retail, which operates the convenience store CU, is launching the ‘Sharing Our Flowers Campaign’ in May, the month of family, in collaboration with Korean flower farms.
According to BGF Retail on the 6th, the ‘Sharing Our Flowers Campaign’ was planned to promote the consumption of carnations and plants from Korean flower farms through BGF Retail’s online and offline infrastructure, including over 16,000 CU stores and the membership application ‘Pocket CU.’
For the ‘Sharing Our Flowers Campaign,’ CU specially produced with the Korea Flower Farmers Cooperative carnation corsages made with domestically grown carnations, air-purifying plants such as ivy and hoya, and carnation flowers made from soap paper arranged in a carnation flower basket.
These products are sold through more than 16,000 CU stores nationwide and CU’s membership app ‘Pocket CU.’ In particular, customers who order carnation corsages and other items via Pocket CU can conveniently and quickly pick up fresh products at nearby CU stores or receive them through free delivery.
In addition, to celebrate May as the month of family, over 30 special products are offered on ‘Pocket CU.’ Healthcare products that consider the health of parents and family, such as two types of Kojima massage chairs, hand massagers, eye massagers, and blood pressure monitors, popular on Parents’ Day, are prepared at industry-lowest prices. Health functional foods such as Chongkundang Health Lactofit, Taewoong 6-year-old Red Ginseng Extract, and Horangi Gyeongokjin, as well as nutritional snacks for families like HBAF seasoning almond gift sets, are offered at discounts of up to 50%.
Home cafe products for families, such as McNulty home cafe coffee machines and McNulty electric grinders, as well as meal kits that the whole family can easily enjoy and snacks for children, can also be purchased on Pocket CU.
