Namwon-si Holds Event Doubling 'Wolmaeyo' Points During Chunhyang Festival Period
[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City in Jeonbuk announced on the 3rd that it will hold a double points accumulation event for users of the Namwon-style delivery app ‘Wolmaeyo’ in celebration of the 92nd Chunhyang Festival.
The event, which will take place over five days from the 4th to the 8th during the Chunhyang Festival period, expands the points given per order from 1,000 won to 2,000 won when ordering by phone at Wolmaeyo affiliated stores.
This year’s Chunhyang Festival will not have a night market due to COVID-19, which could have led to a festival lacking food options. To ensure a richer and more delicious food experience alongside the festival, Namwon City is combining the delivery app ‘Wolmaeyo’ with the festival to promote this event.
‘Wolmaeyo,’ the Namwon-style delivery app first launched on October 12 last year, currently has 181 affiliated stores and is used by an average of 500 consumers daily, with both affiliated stores and consumers gradually increasing.
The city stated that although the current functions of the ‘Wolmaeyo’ delivery app are still insufficient compared to those of large-scale app companies, additional features are being supplemented and upgraded gradually, and new functional improvements will be introduced soon.
A city official said, “We hope that during this Chunhyang Festival period, visitors will enjoy the festival’s attractions and use ‘Wolmaeyo’ for food, providing many citizens with enjoyable experiences.”
