Two Men Arrested for Sexual Assault of Woman Met for the First Time at Drinking Party

The Gwangju Dongbu Police Station announced on the 3rd that they have applied for arrest warrants for A (24) and B (30) on charges of special rape under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.
They are accused of taking a drunken woman from a pub at the intersection near the old city hall in Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, to a lodging facility and sexually assaulting her around 10 p.m. on the 2nd of last month.
It was revealed that A, while drinking with B, pretended to support the woman who was heavily intoxicated and trying to go to the restroom, and took her to the lodging facility.
Afterwards, A contacted B and called him to the lodging facility, where they committed the crime together, according to the investigation.
They denied the charges, claiming "the sexual relations were consensual."
