US First Lady to Meet Ukrainian Refugees in Eastern Europe

According to major foreign media on the 2nd, Jill Biden is scheduled to visit Romania and Slovakia this week to meet Ukrainian nationals who have fled their country. Romania and Slovakia, which share borders with Ukraine, have accommodated hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees.
The First Lady's visit to Eastern Europe is from June 6 to 9. On the first day, she will meet U.S. military personnel at the Mihail Kog?lniceanu Air Base in eastern Romania. The following day, she plans to meet with Romanian government officials, U.S. embassy staff, and teachers who educate Ukrainian children who have taken refuge. On the 8th, she will visit Slovakia to meet Ukrainian mothers and children who have become refugees.
