[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] LG Innotek announced on the 1st that Senior Manager Lee Yeok-sang received the 'Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit' on Labor Day 2022.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor awards government honors annually to labor union officials who have contributed to improving workers' quality of life and have worked towards win-win cooperation between workers and management in industrial sites.
Senior Manager Lee, who joined the company in 1984, is a production site expert who has led innovations in product processes and quality management. He was recognized for his contributions not only to improving the working environment on site but also to enhancing the company's global competitiveness, and was selected as the recipient of this year's 'Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit.' The 'Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit' is the highest honor among government awards.
Since 2006, Senior Manager Lee has worked as a production manager for photomasks (PM) and has led various innovation activities. A photomask is a patterned mask engraved with microcircuits, used to expose circuits onto display panels such as TVs and smartphones. In particular, LG Innotek has internalized the entire photomask process, securing outstanding competitiveness in terms of quality and delivery. Senior Manager Lee's contributions are highly regarded as a key factor enabling LG Innotek to achieve the No. 1 global market share in photomasks (34% as of 2021).
