Samsung Electronics Supports Startup Creation for Two C-Lab Projects Related to Edutech

On April 29, Samsung Electronics held the "First Half C-Lab Spin-off Launch Day" at Samsung Digital City in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, attended by executives including Park Hak-gyu, President and Head of Management Support Office at Samsung Electronics (fourth from the left in the front row), and the founders.

On the 1st, Samsung Electronics announced that on the 29th of last month, it held the 'First Half C-Lab Spin-off Launch Day' at 'Samsung Digital City' in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, attended by Samsung Electronics executives and founders.
The two startups going independent this time are ▲ 'Piloto,' where an AI character helps cultivate children's smart device usage habits, and ▲ 'Edint,' a service where AI supervises online exams.
Since its introduction in December 2012, 'C-Lab Inside' has involved about 1,500 employees in 365 projects, with approximately 58% of them commercialized internally or externally. Since 2015, projects with external business potential among 'C-Lab Inside' have been supported for startup creation. Over the past seven years, through the spin-off system, a total of 59 outstanding C-Lab projects have spun off, creating over 500 jobs.
In August 2018, Samsung Electronics announced its 'Economic Revitalization and Job Creation Plan,' stating that over the next five years, it would nurture 200 in-house projects (C-Lab Inside) and 300 external startups (C-Lab Outside) through C-Lab.
