70s Taxi Driver Dies
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] The police have applied for an arrest warrant for a man in his 70s who is accused of shooting and killing a taxi driver who was urinating on the road.
On the 30th, the Western Seoul Police Station announced that they arrested Mr. A, a man in his 70s, on charges of involuntary manslaughter the previous day and applied for an arrest warrant on the same day.
Mr. A is accused of firing one shotgun round at a taxi driver in his 70s who was urinating near the entrance of Bukhansan Urban Nature Park close to Gugitunnel in Eunpyeong-gu around 8 p.m. the previous day while his car was parked.
The victim suffered penetrating wounds to the wrist and abdomen and was transported to Seoul National University Hospital while receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), but was reported to have died at 12:52 a.m. that day.

Mr. A is a registered hunter who received the shotgun from a nearby police box and went up the mountain, mistakenly identifying the victim as a wild boar, which led to the accident. He is reported to have admitted all charges during the police investigation.
