Jeonnam Fire Department Ranks 2nd in National Firefighters Lecture and Research Competition
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jin-Hyung Park] On the 29th, it was announced that Ryu Je-hwan, Fire Lieutenant of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, won 2nd place in the lecture category at the ‘27th National Firefighter Education and Training Competition’ held at the Central Fire Academy and received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award.
The ‘National Firefighter Education and Training Competition’ is held annually to discover excellent instructors from fire education and training institutions and to exchange effective lecture techniques to strengthen educational capabilities.
This year, 11 professors from fire academies nationwide participated, and Ryu Je-hwan, representing Jeonnam, was recognized for his outstanding performance with a research presentation on the topic ‘Three Tactics to Control Flames,’ focusing on tactics of blocking, cooling, and smoke ventilation.
Fire Lieutenant Ryu stated, “I will continue to conduct research to further elevate the quality of fire education and training.”
Fire Lieutenant Ryu will participate in the ‘40th National Education Institution Public HRD’ hosted by the National Human Resources Development Institute in September.
