Kumoh National Institute of Technology, 'LINC3.0' Project Fanfare... Paving the Way for Innovative Talent and Mutual Growth
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Kumoh National Institute of Technology has been finally selected for the Ministry of Education's '3rd Phase Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Leading University Development Project (LINC3.0)'.
Kumoh National Institute of Technology was selected under the 'Demand-Customized Growth Type' category and will receive a total project fund of 24 billion KRW over a maximum of 6 years (3+3). It will play a role in nurturing talent that meets the demands of industry and future society and collaborating with companies.
Through this LINC3.0 selection, Kumoh National Institute of Technology (kit) plans to establish 'TOOLkit (TOOL+kit; Transformative Organization by OpenLeadership kit)', an innovative leading model for demand-customized growth through an integrated industry-academia-research platform.
TOOLkit is an industry-academia-research cooperation model that modularizes and creatively connects and combines infrastructure, systems, content, operation, and management activities necessary for industry-academia-research cooperation to produce various forms of outcomes.
With this project selection, Kumoh National Institute of Technology aims to realize a 'prestigious university centered on industry-academia cooperation that grows together with the region and the future' through ▲ nurturing innovative talent tailored to future industries ▲ joint creation of new industries and new technologies ▲ establishment of shared and collaborative governance among local industry-academia-research ▲ building and operating an integrated industry-academia-research university.
It also plans to promote various tasks such as operating the industry-academia-research linked education system (K-ESCORT), company-close R&BD, strengthening collaboration centered on K-Star 200 companies, and industry-academia cooperation-friendly academic systems.
