Dongmyeong University Selected for LINC3.0 Project... Annual Support of Around 4 Billion KRW for Up to 6 Years
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dongmyung University has been finally selected for the 3rd phase Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation 'Demand-tailored Growth-type' Leading University Development Project (LINC3.0).
Dongmyung University, a Do-ing talent fostering university, has carried out LINC-related projects for 18 years from the HUNIC project in 2004 to the LINC+ project in 2021.
With the selection for LINC3.0, the university will continue the industry-academia cooperation expansion project for a total of 24 years until 2027.
President Jeon Ho-hwan said, "Taking the selection of LINC3.0 'Demand-tailored Growth-type' as an opportunity, we will do our best to enter the 'Top 10 Small but Strong Universities Nationwide' through our long-standing strengths in industry-academia cooperation, employment, and fostering Do-ing talents who challenge, experience, and practice."
A total of 53 'Demand-tailored Growth-type' universities including Dongmyung University are expected to receive an average annual support fund of around 4 billion KRW per university from this year until 2027, for up to 6 years.

The selected universities will submit revised project plans for about two weeks from mid-May, sign project agreements by the end of May, and then begin full-scale project implementation.
The Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation announced the LINC3.0 selected universities on the 28th as ▲ 13 Technology Innovation Leading-type universities ▲ 53 Demand-tailored Growth-type universities ▲ 10 Cooperation-based Construction-type universities.

The project is a comprehensive support project for university-industry-research cooperation that aims to continuously enhance the achievements of the previous 1st and 2nd phase LINC projects and promote the creation of an industry-academia-research cooperation ecosystem where universities and industries develop together.
