Incheon National University Selected for Ministry of Education LINC 3.0... Focus on Digital Industry-Academia Cooperation Shared Ecosystem
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon National University has been selected for the '3rd Phase Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Leading University Development Project (LINC 3.0)' organized by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea.
This project aims to establish a sustainable innovation ecosystem for industry-academia-research cooperation by enhancing workforce development and technological innovation to meet the innovation demands of the industry through advanced industry-academia-research collaboration. The Ministry of Education will support this project for up to six years from this year until 2027.
Incheon National University was selected as one of two schools in the metropolitan area under the 'Cooperation-Based Establishment Type' of LINC 3.0 and will receive approximately 12 billion KRW in project funding over six years.
Through LINC 3.0, Incheon National University presented a vision to create a shared ecosystem hub for new industry-academia cooperation by establishing a digital-based industry-academia cooperation governance system and a sharing and collaboration platform.
Additionally, by advancing the industry-academia-research linked curriculum, the university plans to nurture innovative talents prepared for future industries and operate Industry Collaboration Centers (ICC) in its specialized fields of bio-convergence, city data, and marine environment culture to create a university brand for industry-academia cooperation.
