"Reduced by 25%" Maeil Dairies Launches 'Barista Rules Grande Sweet Americano'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Maeil Dairies announced on the 29th that its large-capacity coffee brand Barista Rules Grande will launch a new Sweet Americano. Barista Rules Grande, released last year, is a 475ml large-capacity RTD (Ready to Drink) coffee.
The new product, Barista Rules Grande Sweet Americano, uses the highest grade single-origin beans to highlight the characteristics of the origin, just like the two existing Barista Rules Grande varieties. Among the well-balanced Guatemalan Antigua beans, the highest grade SHB beans are used. Guatemalan beans grown in mineral-rich volcanic ash soil are known for their smooth acidity and nutty flavor.

Additionally, to achieve a sweet taste, the sugar content was reduced and monk fruit concentrate was added. Monk fruit, a plant also known as luo han guo, contains natural sweetening components that are over 300 times sweeter than sugar but have almost no calories, making it a notable sugar substitute. By using monk fruit concentrate, the sugar content is reduced by 25% compared to existing Sweet Americano products on the market, allowing consumers to enjoy a clean sweetness without burden.
