Suncheon City Library Local Materials Archive Workshop Held
On the 25th, archive experts and related public officials will discuss together at Samsan Library
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City in Jeollanam-do announced on the 22nd that it will hold a workshop on the 25th at Samsan Library, where archive experts and Suncheon City employees will participate together to set the direction for the Suncheon City Library regional materials archive.
In this workshop, the necessity and goals of the archive will be discussed, and the future direction of the Suncheon City Library archive project will be deliberated.
Archive experts attending include Son Dong-yu, Director of the Archiving Network Institute, Ahn Dae-jin, CEO of Archive Lab, and Bae Eun-hee, CEO of Red House.
Director Son Dong-yu will present on the purpose of archives, CEO Ahn Dae-jin will discuss methods and trends in building digital archives, and CEO Bae Eun-hee will give a presentation on archives utilizing oral recordings.
After the presentations and case studies, experts and related Suncheon City officials will have an in-depth discussion on the direction of the regional materials archive to be operated by the Suncheon City Library.

A representative from the Suncheon City Library Operations Division said, “We hope to lay a solid foundation for the archive to be operated by the Suncheon City Library through this workshop,” adding, “We will select meaningful archive topics, set the project direction, and explore ways to proceed together with citizens.”
