Naju-si Provides 200,000 Won Happiness Voucher for Women Farmers and Fishermen
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] On the 22nd, Naju City in Jeollanam-do announced that it is issuing the first round of cards for the ‘Happiness Voucher (Card Support Project)’ aimed at improving the cultural welfare of local women farmers and fishermen.
The Happiness Voucher provides 200,000 KRW in card points for leisure and cultural expenses to women farmers in rural fishing villages.
The number of first-round beneficiaries is 5,239 women farmers and fishermen, with support amounting to approximately 1.04 billion KRW.
Especially, starting this year, the 20,000 KRW self-payment required for issuing the voucher card has been waived, receiving great response from women farmers and fishermen.
The support targets women farmers and fishermen aged between 20 and 75 who have resided in Jeollanam-do for more than one year and are actively engaged in farming.
To issue the card, applicants can visit their local Nonghyup branch with their ID card.
The Happiness Voucher card cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, lent, or used in medical, precious metals, entertainment, casino, and similar industries.
Card points will automatically expire after December 31.
Card balances can be checked at the Happiness Voucher call center or at the bottom of the receipt after payment.
A city official said, “As cultural and leisure activities become possible with the phased recovery from COVID-19, we expect satisfaction with the Happiness Voucher support project to increase. We will do our best to promote and guide so that eligible beneficiaries do not miss out on the benefits.”
