Gwangju Seobu Fire Station, Installation of Residential Fire Safety Equipment is Essential
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Western Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 22nd that it will promote the installation of residential fire safety equipment year-round to reduce casualties and property damage caused by house fires.
As with all fires, failure to extinguish the fire in its early stages inevitably leads to an uncontrollable situation. In particular, damage caused by house fires results in significant mental and physical harm. Therefore, rapid fire suppression is even more important.
According to Article 8 of the Act on Fire Prevention, Installation and Maintenance of Firefighting Facilities, and Safety Management, residential fire safety equipment must be mandatorily installed in general houses such as single-family homes, multi-family houses, row houses, and multiplex housing.
Residential fire safety equipment refers to standalone smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. Standalone smoke detectors provide alarms and voice alerts when a fire occurs, enabling prompt response to the fire.
Fire extinguishers can play the role of a fire truck in the early stages of a fire, allowing rapid fire suppression to reduce casualties and property damage.
